Shift: This role is 1st Shift, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM Hourly Rate: $25.42 an hour **Field Operations:** + Assist with all aspects of field research activities, including field preparation, planting, irrigation, pest monitoring, data collection, harvesting, and seed quality analysis. + Perform nursery pollination operations. + Harvest nursery plots and prepare samples for popping from yield trials. + Operate laboratory and seed processing equipment. **Laboratory Operations:** + Shell, organize, and inventory nursery plots. + Prepare and monitor samples for popping. + Conduct popping of yield trial samples. **Office Operations:** + Plan and prepare for yield trials and nurseries. + Inventory, organize, and maintain seed stocks. + Record and summarize data from yield trials and nurseries. + Maintain an inventory of supplies used in the research program and project future needs. + Document work processes and standard operating procedures. **Additional Responsibilities:** + Assist with popcorn popping and data generation. + Participate in long-term strategy and breeding direction decisions. + Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for data management and presentation.
