The Opportunity:

Review job ticket with 1st Press Person to determine, size, quantity of sheets required and colors.With assistance from 1st Press Person ensures that the ink supplied matches the ink specs on job ticket.Adjust printing units for proper sheet size.Mounts plates in press, either alone or with 1st Press Operator, in press, ink’s press, and ensures feeder is loaded properly and then begins to run the press.Continually checks quality and registration of work as directed to ensure that customer specs are met.Completes necessary production and quality reports with 1st Press Operator as required.Performs other duties as assigned by Manager, Supervisor and/or Lead Person.

 

What you need to succeed: 

Lift up to 25 lbs. regularly, up to 50 lbs intermittently and up to 75 lbs rarely.Ability to work in a tobacco-free environmentStand up to 12 hours per day.Bend, twist, climb, squat, kneel occasionally throughout the shift.Uses hands for simple and power grasping, as well as push, pull and fine manipulation.Work at and/or below shoulder level.See fine detail in printed product along with checking for color accuracy.See color and distinguish color differences.Previous offset printing press experience is required.  Attention to detail.Communication skillsMust work in a hot, cold, dusty and noisy industrial environmentMust wear necessary Personal Protective Equipment (safety glasses, ear plugs, hair nets, steel-toed boots, etc.)Must maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations
