Job Details Job ID: 4900636 Job Description Rise Up Academy Assistant Principal Duties Instructional Duties + Assist in providing instructional leadership for Rise Up Academy. + Assist in assuring proper implementation of District curricular models. + Monitor instructional activities to assure alignment with curriculum requirements. + Assist with master scheduling and responsible for student scheduling. + Coach, manage, and develop a group of teachers to exceptional student achievement. + Observe teachers weekly to gather data on student learning and teacher proficiency to diagnose teachers’ strengths and weaknesses constantly and determine strategies for improving their practice and improving student learning. + Assist the principal tracking the senior cohort and keep them on track for graduation. + Assist the attendance team to track students attendance on a regular basis. + Make sure that teachers are taking attendance daily. + Provide a wide variety of learning opportunities for teachers focused on analyzing student work, effective planning, targeted and differentiated instruction, as well as high expectations for classroom culture and behavior. Data Analysis + Provide data to inform the development of the school’s strategic plan aligned with Rise Up Academy school goals. + Use data to inform decision making, to develop and modify curriculum, and to develop targeted and differentiated instruction. + Meet with teachers regularly to discuss data trends; problem solve with teachers to prioritize the teacher actions that will most impact student performance. + Assist with the creation, completion and presentation of school reports, as well as required reports for the district and charter authorizer. School Management + Assist with supervision and management of the overall operations of Rise Up Academy with regards to facility usage, transportation and arrival and departures, nutrition, maintenance and facilities supervision. + Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel as directed by the Principal. + Interview and select employees and recommend transfers, reassignment, termination and disciplinary actions. + Coordinate subordinate work assignments and review work to assure compliance with established requirements. + Assist in supervision and provide professional development activities to assure compliance. + Oversee and provide inventions for increasing student attendance at Rise Up Academy. + Assist with student discipline functions at Rise Up Academy and assist with creative application of behavior modification techniques. + Assist with student supervision, expulsions and manifestation determinations.
