What this job involves

Position Goals

This role shall lead the Supply Chain Management & Procurement (SCMP) function for the account to support and execute strategic outsourcing, cost savings, and vendor management programs in support JLL’s SCMP commitments.

This role requires a multi-disciplined subject matter expert in Integrated Facility Management (IFM), with a technical background, to manage complex initiatives and integrated outsourcing programs.

Responsibility also extends to procurement governance, communication and training for responsible programs, and deliver contract / procurement strategies to achieve long term benefits.


The account requires high levels of activity in the vendor management space, including regular RFP execution management. The role includes the oversight and timely management of these multiple RFP and contract negotiations.

In particular, the Procurement Manager will create a strategy and execute delivery of a five year procurement plan.

Electrical, Mechanical Dry and Wet, Plumbing, Hard Supplies / Spares, Landscaping, Housekeeping, Pest Control, Janitorial, Hardscape, Space, General Waste Management, Supplies / Spares, Shuttle/Transport, Food Services etc.

Duties and Responsibilities

Lead the SCMP Team in managing all aspects of the procurement service delivery in India AccountProvide strategic SCMP direction across functional areas and programs that involve strategic outsourcing and vendor management across multiple IFM disciplines.Develop & present a formal procurement strategy for the accountLead the process of developing vendor management strategy, identifying, sourcing, and securing resources based on business requirements/results.Build appropriate relationships and appropriately engage with all stakeholder groups (client, account management, and corporate procurement) incorporating supplier communication & liaison, market evaluation exercises, and supplier management & governance.Identify cost reduction opportunities and lead annual savings programs.  Annual savings to be agreed each financial year.  Leverage total buying power.  Apply techniques such as category management and cross-functional consolidation.Lead the implementation of continuous improvement programs with key suppliers and major buying groups.  Address this from an end-to-end process and value perspective.  Where appropriate design and/or implement new processes and utilize technology.Develop an understanding of the dynamics of the relevant supply markets.  Develop a supply base that will best meet business goals.  Influence the supply markets to ensure that supply base remains broadest and best in class and continually provides optimum solutions to business requirements.Lead the implementation of best practice procurement strategies and apply these across Account team – both for expensed items and capitalized works.Lead the development of a continuous learning, high performance and enthusiastic working environment in the procurement team.Contribute to the development of a collaborative and team based culture with account leadership, peers, and the client businesses.Continue to work with JLL corporate team to join multi-client RFP’s where possibleEmbrace and practice JLL valuesManagement Role/ResponsibilitiesActively encourage an environment that supports teamwork, co-operation & performance excellenceRegular meetings with different stake holders to discuss status of open items.Regular meetings with JLL/Account US team to discuss performanceKey Performance Measures   Complete contract management responsibilitiesProcurement process & regulatory communication within the organization and with the site teamsClient satisfactionImprovement and savings initiatives for the client and JLL.

Candidate Specification: Key Selection Criteria10+ years of strategic sourcing experience and at least 3 years’ experience managing a procurement team within a change environmentDegree qualified in Engineering or other Technical FieldsDemonstrated track record in successfully managing multiple projects and delivering project objectives in a timely mannerManagement experience in integrated outsourcing and supply chain management and procurement with the ability to accomplish results through vendor managementPractical knowledge of facilities management, maintenance operations and engineering and risk management and capable of changing them to meet new and evolving needs will be highly regarded.Ability to analyse complex problems and generate solutions.Competency in financial modelling, feasibility studies and total cost of ownership analysis.Proven ability to lead by example, with strong influencing skills. Ability to work independently with limited supervision.Attention to detail.Willingness to take on a project and retain responsibility right until completion.Excellent skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
