WHAT WILL YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES BE

Part of the Turkey and Middle East Packaging teamResponsible and accountable of a spend of 40-50 M€ for certain packaging portfolios in the Turkey and Middle East region.To deliver cost savings and value creationDevelop global and regional buying strategy development to support business needsDevelop and cultivate a proper supplier relationship management programLead and support global and/or regional negotiationsEnsuring supplier compliance to Unilever standardsContribute towards Unilever’s sustainability commitments and delivery of targets (e.g. plastics, deforestation, climate, living wage, etc.)Constantly identify and develop suppliers and new origins to deliver business growth and innovation prioritiesCommunicate and execute the supply strategies and maintain connections with key Business Units and Business GroupsExecute contract negotiations, leveraging the business and digital tools for support as neededFollow market conditions and lead price forecasting cycles to enable proper budgeting and cash forecastingCollaborate with the relevant R&D and technical expert teams to ensure the technical and commercial programs are fully integratedSupport cross functional project teams for packaging material sourcing for innovation projects (e.g. supplier sourcing input, pricing input, capacity input, etc.)Provide sourcing and commercial input to Business Unit and Business Group procurement teamsSupport packaging value improvement programs such as product logic savings projects, alternative supplier approvals, and alternate material approvals

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

Experiences & Qualifications

University/bachelor’s degree or relevant experienceFluency in English and Turkish is mandatory2-3 years working experience in procurement or supply chain (preferably within FMCG)Experience in managing supplier relationships and leading negotiationsFamiliar with cost modeling and contracting strategiesBasic understanding of financeStrong analytics skills including a deep knowledge of ExcelStrong communication skills, including the ability to concisely communicate to senior level internal and external stakeholdersAdept at working in a global virtual network with teammates and suppliers based across the worldNegotiation instinct, passion for learning, ability to navigate complex situations with a hands on business mind

Procurement Expertise: Proven procurement experience, preferably in the packaging sector, with a deep understanding of strategic sourcing, contracting strategies, and supplier partnerships.Business Acumen: Extensive international business experience, with a proactive approach to identifying and developing opportunities in Turkey and Arabia markets.Negotiation & Relationship Building: Strong negotiation skills and a talent for building and maintaining supplier relationships, with cultural sensitivity and a global perspective.Leadership & Team Development: A people-first leader with exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of driving results while nurturing team growth and development.Results-Oriented: A drive for results, with a focus on achieving ambitious targets and making a tangible impact on Unilever’s sustainability agenda.
