About this team


From concept through to pre-production stage, Product Development is the front-line regarding communication with the domestic embellishment vendor base, launching graphic artworks, requesting sampling, validating placement and graphic execution, and keeping an accurate data library of the life cycle of a product. Product Development is a truly cross functional working group that pivot to partners such as Design, Concept, Quality, Merchandising, Production, Finished Goods Sourcing, Raw Materials, and Go To Market operations to deliver a commercially ready product to our buying teams. 

They are strong communicators who value and develop their cross functional relationships. This is a team of high performers who are constantly striving to develop personally and professionally, practicing open feedback in a trusting space. A day in the life


The Assistant Product Developer supports the Product Development organization, under the mentorship & partnership of more senior Developers, to drive the commercialization of best-in-class product in partnership with creative and strategic counterparts, balancing function, time, cost, and quality while delivering design intent.

Responsible for graphic sample management, style number, & colorway creationMaintain data integrity in Flex PLM and other relevant systemsSupport daily workflow that adheres to GTM deliverables & development timelinesSupport Product developers in reviewing artworks and strike offs (measurements / colour accuracy / quality)Assist in the preparation of samples for presentations as requiredResponsible for organization of samples for the product development team as requiredTake clear and concise notes for key meetings and communicate to relevant internal team members as neededFacilitate the ordering of required sample yardage to vendorsTakes a proactive approach to advancing technical and product management knowledge through mentorship and training from senior technical and senior product development team members


Qualifications


Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or equivalent professional experience; focused training in Technical Design, Product Management, Product Development or relevant experience preferred0 - 3 years professional experience in relevant industry an assetProficiency in MS office (Excel/Word/Outlook), Adobe Design Suite (Illustrator and Photoshop)Understanding of Flex PLM or similar PLM software is an asset July 2022

In-person collaboration is important, and much of the role can be performed remotely. Work is performed onsite at least 3 days per week.  

Compensation and Benefits Package lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $55,300 - $72,600 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
