Why We Need Your Talents:

 

As Assistant Production Manager, you will assist the Production Manager in efficiently and effectively overseeing and coordinating technical/production details for all client rentals (conferences, trade shows, meetings, social functions, etc.) and technical, hospitality, and transportation details for all entertainment events. Work with Banquets, Marketing, and Sales departments to ensure smooth and successful operations in The Hall & Event Center and event & entertainment functions in casino food and beverage outlets. Hire, schedule, and train production technicians to support event operations. Direct production crews and act as on-site production representatives.

 

Responsibilities

Where You'll Make an Impact:

Interface with house electricians for large power needsDesign power layouts for trade shows Responsible for deployment and storage of the Ovation seating system Interface with Ovation seating vendor to draw new plots, acquire parts, etc.Book vendor labor for bleacher setup & strikeSupervise and direct large room flipsDistribute day sheets to the property for assigned showTrack and submit expenses for assigned showsService and repair projectors Operate scissor lifts and forkliftsKeep crew contact list up to dateOversee rigging in the Hall & Event CenterSchedule contract labor when neededAdvance technical, hospitality, and transportation requirements for entertainment eventsAct as on-site production representative for artists and clientsAct as a stage manager when necessaryAct as house video technician when necessary Coordinate with AACo Fire to place fire system into event mode.Oversee rigging in the Hall & Event CenterTrack and submit expenses for assigned showsInterview and hire new technicians and stagehandsOther duties as assigned

 

Skills to Help You Succeed: 

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in live event and concert production.Advanced knowledge of Audio-Visual systems.Excellent technical, complex problem-solving, interpersonal, oral & written communication skills.Technical and manufacture certifications desirable. Qualifications

Ability to assume responsibility for independent/self-directed action.Strong guest service skills.Must have strong time management skills.Ability to effectively work independently and as part of a team.Ability to share or divide attention among several ongoing activities, projects, or assignments.Ability to interpret and explain company policies and procedures to others.Ability to follow all policies, procedures, and regulations, including but not limited to attendance, appearance, safety, and security policies.Ability to identify circumstances or incidents that require the notification and approval of others.Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays Must be able to participate in the on-call rotation program.Experience in audio/video setup and maintenance Knowledge in signal flow for audio and video Knowledge of TV Networks and operations of TV NetworksMust be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license as determined by the Maryland Lottery Gaming & Control Agency for the position. Must be able to comply with all state gaming regulations, which may include obtaining a license.

 

Physical Requirements:
