Faculty Rank or Job Title Assistant Professor, Chemistry (2 positions) Job Category: Faculty/Instructional Department Chemistry EEO number: 25Y059 Position FTE 100% Minimum Annual or Hourly Rate Negotiable Salary Band: N/A Job Summary/Basic Function: Wright State University invites applications for two tenure-track Assistant Professor positions—one with expertise in environmental chemistry; and the other in medicinal chemistry starting in Fall 2025 semester. A commitment to establishing an independent, highly competitive research program and effective teaching foundations and strategies to contribute to strengthening the undergraduate and graduate programs related to environmental chemistry, toxicology, and medicinal/pharmaceutical chemistry is expected. Minimum Qualifications Position one: PhD in environmental chemistry, analytical chemistry, or related field, with demonstrated excellence in teaching and research in areas covering environmental chemistry and toxicology.

Position two: PhD in medicinal chemistry or related field, with demonstrated excellence in teaching and research in areas covering pharmaceutical chemistry, medicinal chemistry, and toxicology.

Preferred Qualifications At least two years of experience as a postdoctoral researcher or in a related postgraduate position.
