Job Title Assistant Professor, Clinical/School/Counseling Psychology Agency Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi Department College Of Liberal Arts Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location Corpus Christi, Texas Job Type Faculty Job Description The Department of Psychology and Sociology at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi invites applications for a full-time (9-month), tenure-track Assistant Professor in Clinical Psychology position beginning fall of 2025. There may be an opportunity to begin in the spring of 2025, if the successful candidate desires. The Psychology programs are among the largest in the College of Liberal Arts, with approximately 500 majors, 100 minors, and 40 graduate students. We seek applicants with a Ph.D. or Psy.D. expected in hand by the time of appointment. Applicants must be licensed or license-eligible as a psychologist in Texas. Successful candidates will be expected to teach clinical psychology courses at the undergraduate and master’s level, which may include courses in psychological assessment, psychopathology, and psychotherapy. There may also be opportunities to develop courses in their area of specialization. Full-time, tenure-track appointments receive a 3-3 teaching load. TAMU-CC is an R2 University, and the department has an increasing focus on research. We seek candidates with a record of (or potential for) research productivity and a research agenda suited to TAMU-CC and the community that includes an interest in pursuing external funding. The successful candidate’s research activities will include mentoring student research and supervising master’s thesis students in our Clinical Psychology MA program. Individuals considered for this position will also be expected to provide clinical supervision to master’s level students, and actively engage in service to the department, college, university, and profession. The successful candidate should have an understanding of multicultural and diversity issues and relevant experience in their applications to pedagogy and clinical practice. Advanced ABD will be considered; degree must be conferred by the time of appointment. + Be license eligible as a psychologist in the state of Texas at the time of appointment.
