Assistant Professor, Clinical-Translational Vascular Neurologist, CE Track

The Department of Neurology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of translational and clinical research in vascular neurology. Applicants must have an M.D. degree. American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology certification (or eligibility) in Neurology and Vascular Neurology.
Teaching responsibilities may include working with medical school students, residents, and fellows.
Clinical responsibilities may include working to provide the highest level of care to patients with stroke and other cerebrovascular disorders in both inpatient and outpatient care settings.
Research or scholarship responsibilities may include translational and clinical investigation related to the pathophysiology and treatment of cerebral ischemia and hemorrhage. The candidate is expected to bring a strong portfolio of investigative skills and a drive to develop and continue fundamental scientific investigations regarding neurological injury and its sequelae.
