Job OverviewThe University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for a twelve-month, non-tenure track Assistant Professor - Educator position in the Allied Health Department. This position is an in-person non-tenure eligible Educator position with a start date of August 15, 2025.
Essential FunctionsPreparing courses and teaching an average of 12 contact hours per semester in the Fall, Spring, and Summer within the Allied Health Department programs
Teaching courses in a variety of formats (face-to-face, online, Hy flex and/or hybrid)
Holding a minimum of four office hours per week
Participating in governance and service to the department, college and university, such as, but not limited to, participation in departmental committees and attending UCBA faculty meetings
Participating in professional development opportunities related to pedagogy and/or one’s discipline, including, but not limited to, attending conferences
Participating in recruitment, academic advising, and program resource development as needed
The initial term is three (3) years and is renewable upon satisfactory performance. The retention and promotion criteria for Educator faculty emphasize teaching excellence, leadership in instructional innovation, and service.
Minimum RequirementsPrior to effective date of appointment, all of the following:
Master’s degree in a health-related field (e.g., Public Health, Community Health & Prevention Science, Health Promotion and Education, Exercise Science, or Allied Health Sciences); A minimum of one (1) year of classroom and online teaching experience with knowledge of course development, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising; Recent professional experience
