Assistant Professor, Internal Medicine-Infectious Disease **Galveston, Texas, United States** Faculty UTMB Health Requisition # 2406301 **ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:** Research (97%): This position’s responsibilities will include 1) continuing development of a research program focused on metabolic dysfunction in malnutrition (obesity and undernutrition) and infectious diseases; 2) continuing to publish original research papers; 3) developing productive interactions with investigators within the ID Division and larger UTMB research community, particularly those working in the area of metabolic function; and 4) obtain independent extramural research funding by end of year 3 of the K01.
