**Job Description**
The St. Cloud State University (SCSU) Psychology Department seeks applicants for a fixed-term position in psychology (specialization in human cognition preferred). The successful candidate must be prepared to teach undergraduate courses in Research Methods, and Experimental Psychology. They must also be able to teach at least three of the following undergraduate courses:
+ Introduction to Psychology
+ Human Cognition
+ Statistics
+ Cross Cultural Psychology
+ A senior capstone option (Topical Seminar or History of Psychology), or other course as may suit the candidate and department.
To be considered for potential renewal for an additional year(s), the successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to:
+ Teach and/or perform assignments effectively
+ Conduct scholarly research
+ Continue preparation and study in the discipline
+ Contribute to student growth and development
+ Provide service to the university and community (IFO Article 22, Section B).
Instruct courses in varied locations and at varied times, in-person, online or hybrid and in either a semester or accelerated semester schedule
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Ph.D. in psychology with specialization in psychology from an accredited university prior to first date of employment.
+ Documented successful college teaching experience in psychology (face-to-face and/or online).
+ Evidence of research potential.
+ Evidence of ability to teach and work with persons from culturally diverse backgrounds.
+ Willingness to teach courses both face-to-face and online (asynchronous).
**Preferred Qualification**
+ Specialization in human cognitive psychology.
+ Experience mentoring and working with students on research.
+ Ability to teach other courses in the Department of Psychology curriculum.
