Job Title Assistant Professor, Psychology Agency Texas A&M University - Kingsville Department Department Of Psychology & Sociology Proposed Minimum Salary Commensurate Job Location Kingsville, Texas Job Type Faculty Job Description Job Summary We invite applications for one tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Psychology in Clinical/Counseling, beginning Fall 2025. Practical experience and graduation from an APA accredited program are preferred. Candidates should be license eligible or licensed as a psychologist, preferably in the state of Texas as a psychologist at the doctoral level. Minimum Requirements Applicants should possess a Ph.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology, but ABDs completing this academic year will be considered. Candidates should be committed to undergraduate and graduate teaching in any of the following areas: Abnormal psychology, personality assessment, psychopharmacology, group therapy, family/couples therapy, life span/human development, multicultural counseling, possibly research methods/statistics, or other areas within the scope of the candidate's expertise, and or other courses consistent with the department's need. Texas A&M University-Kingsville is primarily a teaching institution; however, research productivity and pursuit of external funding are expected. Area of research concentration/expertise is open. Salary is competitive. Candidates must have 18 graduate hours for every field they teach. Tenure and promotion are based on teaching, research, and service performance.
