CST on the closing date. A-State participates in E-Verify. Position Summary: Assistant Professor, tenure-track, to serve as faculty to the CACREP accredited clinical mental health counseling tract. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of excellence in teaching; significant experience teaching graduate and undergraduate courses; training and experience conducting clinical supervision; have a clear research agenda and potential for publication in key professional journals in the field. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong cultural competence, verbal communication and interpersonal skills necessary for effective collaboration with a diverse community of students, faculty, staff, and external constituents. Faculty members deliver instruction, carry out research, perform service for their respective professions and community, and participate in the management of the University through shared governance. Each member of the faculty has the duty to deliver instruction and maintain a learning environment consistent with the highest standards of the profession. The faculty has a responsibility to set degree requirements, assess when they are met, and establish and maintain curricula that meet professional standards and fulfill the educational goals of the University. Duties & Responsibilities: + Teach core counseling courses + Conduct research and participate in activities impacting the lives of individuals and advancement of the counseling profession + Provide advising and supervision + Participate in appropriate A-State department, college, and university activities + Work cooperatively with other degree programs, outside agencies, and counselors in the community Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Academic experience specific clinical mental health counseling. LPC or LPC eligibility or equivalent required. General Days/Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Additional hours as requested and/or needed Regular and reliable attendance Other: Please note: all position postings close at 12:00 A.M.
