Position Summary: Arkansas State University's Department of History invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor in African American history. The Department also welcomes applicants with sub-fields of environmental, public, or social history. The successful applicant will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in African American and U. S. History and participate in the History Department’s General Education curriculum. The successful applicant will also mentor students in the history major and African American Studies minor, participate in recruitment and retention initiatives, and perform other service for the department, the university, and the community at-large.
