We seek candidates whose research is in applied mathematics with a focus in scientific computing and numerical analysis such as numerical differential equations and scientific machine learning, or related areas where computation plays a central and essential role, emphasizing analysis, development, and implementation of theoretically justified and efficient algorithms. Minimum Experience / Education: UNC Charlotte gives primary consideration to the earned doctorate or terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline. Preferred Education Skills and Experience: Required qualifications include a doctoral degree in mathematics. A commitment to establishing a productive research program. A commitment to excellence in teaching and advising at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Preferred qualifications include excellent research and teaching experience in computational mathematics. Evidence of potential to obtain external funding. Experience in teaching large classes. Experience in supervising undergraduate students.
