Position Description:
The Department of Psychology at McGill University invites applications for the position of Assistant Director (at the rank of Assistant Professor, Clinical) in the Virginia I. Douglas Centre for Clinical Psychology. This training clinic was created to support a CPA- and PCSAS-accredited PhD program in Clinical Psychology.
This is a non-tenure track position that can be renewed based on performance and available funding with a start date of June 1, 2025. In addition to clinic responsibilities, the Assistant Director is allowed to spend a day/week in independent research and/or clinical practice activities.

Job Duties:
- work closely with the Centre Director and Clinical Core program faculty to collaboratively design and implement training and supervision activities.
- Clinical supervision of graduate students engaged in evidence-based professional practice across a variety of assessment and intervention strategies and presenting problems in adults with diverse identities and lived experiences is a key responsibility.
- providing leadership in the training clinic such as assisting in the management of other clinical supervisors and coordinating with other professionals and students across the department and in the Montréal area.
- Depending on background and interests, responsibilities could include teaching graduate level courses in adult assessment and clinical supervision. Experience in the assessment of adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is an asset.
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
(a) have a doctoral degree in clinical psychology from a CPA-, APA-, or PCSAS-accredited program,
(b) have been trained in evidence-based assessment and intervention techniques,
(c) are licensed psychologists (or immediately license eligible) in Québec, and (d) have at least two years post-doctoral clinical experience
(e) Experience in the assessment of adult Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is an asset.
