The Department of Neurosurgery, Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio is seeking a full-time faculty member at the Assistant Professor/Clinical level with a demonstrated interest in developing a productive academic neurosurgery practice.

The department is looking to hire a neurosurgeon with a specialization in spine and trauma who wants to advance their academic career in the clinical and research arenas.

Qualifications

Graduate of an LCME-accredited medical school

Successful completion of training in an ACGME-accredited neurosurgical residency

Candidates should be US Board eligible/certified in neurological surgery

Meet the requirement for medical licensure to practice in the state of Texas and at our hospital partner facilities

Spine & Trauma at UT Health

Our renowned team of neurosurgeons treats the full range of spinal and peripheral nerve disorders such as carpal tunnel and trigeminal neuralgia that cause pain and disability. When conservative methods are not effective or feasible, patients rely on our surgeons for treatment options.
