Emory University School of Medicine is actively seeking a NEUROPSYCHOLOGIST to join the Department of Rehabilitation Medicine in the Division of Neuropsychology (junior to mid-career level). The neuropsychologist will primarily serve as a clinician-educator; however, time can be bought out for funded research projects. The primary role of the neuropsychologist is to conduct neuropsychological evaluations for diverse neurological conditions. The primary populations currently served within the Neuropsychology Division include stroke, traumatic brain injury, neurodegenerative disorders, neoplasm, and organ transplant. Evaluations will be conducted on a primarily outpatient basis with opportunities available for inpatient screening and consultation. As this is a rehabilitation medicine department, the neuropsychologist is expected to provide comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations with an emphasis on the education of patients and family with detailed recommendations and/or treatment plans.
Emory Rehabilitation Neuropsychology has a strong training program at the practicum, internship, and postdoctoral level; thus, applicants with a strong interest in teaching are particularly encouraged to apply. The applicant will be expected to support the development of the clinical service and training programs, and will communicate with referral sources as needed. We are a strongly interdisciplinary department, and work with Physiatrists, Neurologists, Neurosurgeons, Psychiatrists, Primary Care and allied health professions.
Applicant Requirements: 1) Doctoral degree from an APA- or CPA-approved Ph.D., or Psy.D., program in clinical psychology. 2) Completion of a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology; 3) Eligibility for board certification by ABPP in the specialty of Clinical Neuropsychology; 4) Experience and interest in working with culturally diverse individuals and commitment to anti-racism, diversity, equity and inclusion. 5) GA license or license eligibility is required.
