**FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT**
The School of Education at Hunter College of the City University of New York invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of TESOL in the Department of Curriculum and Teaching, to begin in the Fall of 2025. The position requires a commitment to scholarly research and teaching resulting in publications and presentations, service to the department and college, and academic advisement. The successful candidate is expected to actively develop or maintain a systematic research agenda and publication record, seek external funding, collaborate with local school districts, teach courses in TESOL, advise students, and participate in committee work.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
Minimum Qualifications:
¿ Earned Doctorate in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, or related field
¿ Significant ESOL teaching experience in US Urban P-12 contexts
¿ Active research agenda
¿ Ability to teach graduate level courses in ESOL methods, curriculum, and student teaching / practicum
Preferred Qualifications (in addition to above):
¿ Bi- or multilingual
¿ Ability to teach courses in pedagogical grammar, sociolinguistics, or other areas of ESOL teacher preparation
**COMPENSATION**

Salary: $86,645 - $99,532
