The Department of Biomedical and Chemical Engineering (BMCE) at Syracuse University (http://bmce.syr.edu/) is seeking applicants for multiple tenure-track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor rank. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in chemical engineering or a closely related discipline.Priority research directions include process systems engineering and machine learning/AI-enabled innovations in chemical engineering, computational modeling of complex systems, advanced materials, electrochemistry, catalysis, and transport processes in complex fluids. Candidates should demonstrate commitments to collaborative, cross-disciplinary research; to excellence in teaching; and to fostering diversity and inclusion. The BMCE Department offers B.S. (ABET-accredited), M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in biomedical engineering and chemical engineering. There are currently 21 full-time faculty members, approximately 200 undergraduate students and 75 graduate students of which 60 are doctoral students. Start date of August 25, 2025.
