**Description**
The Department of Economics at Stony Brook University is seeking applicants for positions of Assistant Professor in Economics with an expected starting date of Fall 2026.
The positions will enhance the national and global relevance of the Department’s research mission, expand and further diversify faculty research, build and encourage interdisciplinary research collaborations, and strengthen gender and ethnic diversity in the PhD program.

**Required Qualifications:**
PhD (or foreign equivalent) in Economics or the expectation of obtaining one before the starting date. High quality research and promising research agenda. Excellent collaborative skills. Commitment to participation in teaching and service at the department. Fit with departmental needs and priorities.
