Location: Binghamton, NY Category: Faculty Posted On: Mon Sep 23 2024 Job Description: The School of Management at Binghamton University (State University of New York, a premier public R1 research institution) invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the area of Finance starting in mid-August 2025, subject to budgetary approval. Applicants should demonstrate the ability to conduct high quality research and contribute to the intellectual environment of the area. The teaching responsibility includes two courses per semester and involves teaching Finance courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Faculty are also expected to participate in curriculum development and assessment, and engage in other service duties for the school and the university, both internally and externally. To support faculty research, the school provides summer funding for the first three years of service. The School of Management (SOM) is AACSB accredited and nationally recognized for its success in developing future business leaders. SOM is listed as a top 10 business school among fully public institutions by Poets&Quants. The School offers bachelor's, master's, and PhD programs in Finance. The Finance faculty in the School of Management have a consistent record of scholarly achievement and published in high-quality journals that include Journal of Political Economy, Journal of Finance, Journal of Financial Economics, Review of Financial Studies, and Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis.
