Assistant Professor Non-Tenure Track Clinical, Internal Medicine-General Medicine

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The faculty member will:

Participate in the education and mentorship of medical students as designated by School of Medicine Academic Affairs (i.e., Problem Based Learning, Practice of Medicine, Integrated Curriculum Evaluation Exercise, Interviews, etc.) Collaborate with medical students and residents on quality improvement and other opportunities to improve teaching clinics and population health Precept interprofessional teaching clinics at community sites including Coastal Health and Wellness, St. Vincent’s Clinics, and community clinics at partner organizations Provide direct patient care to the underserved community of Galveston County (St. Vincent’s Clinic, Coastal Health and Wellness clinics) Participate in departmental meetings and committee meetings, and other scholarly activities.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
MD degree, Board certification or Board eligibility in Internal Medicine.

 

SALARY: 
Commensurate with experience.
