The Division of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy within the Department of Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of the University of Southern California is recruiting at the Assistant Professor of Surgery level for a BC/BE Vascular Surgeon with an interest in establishing and developing a career in vascular disease translational research. The applicant must have the pre-requisite training and experience in bench research with a track record of accomplishment in translational research. Ideal candidates will have a rigorous research background in stem cells. The successful candidate will collaborate with the outstanding stem cell researchers at USC to develop a deeper understanding of the potential for translational application of stem cell technology as therapeutic strategies for various vascular diseases.
In addition, interested applicants should possess robust clinical skills in the area of vascular surgery and treatment of vascular disease. It is expected that qualified candidates will dedicate at least 50% of time to bench, translational research as a new faculty member in the Department of Surgery.
