The School of Engineering Technology at the University of Maine invites applications for an academic year, tenure track Assistant Professor of Construction Engineering Technology. The Construction Engineering Technology program combines construction, engineering and management in a practice-oriented education that leads students to rewarding careers in building construction and infrastructure nationwide. Qualifications: Required: + Master of Science (or higher) degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Construction Engineering or a closely related discipline by date of hire. + Licensure as a professional engineer or professional land surveyor in a U.S. jurisdiction is required before being recommended for promotion from Assistant Professor. + Post-graduation employment for at least three years as a full-time, permanent hire construction or engineering professional with U.S. or Canadian experience in several of the following areas: construction safety, surveying, computerized graphics (CAD, BIM), construction management, building construction, cost estimating, or scheduling. + Excellent communication skills. + Have performed effectively in collaborative team environments. Preferred: + Prior successful teaching experience in engineering or construction practices. + Experience working with diverse populations.
