Assistant Professor of Experiential Graphic Design
The Watkins College of Art at Belmont University is seeking applications for a tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning 8/1/25. 

The primary job responsibilities for this position include a strong commitment to teaching undergraduate courses in design and collaborating with design and art faculty to grow and develop the BFA in Experiential Design. The successful candidate will exhibit: 
- Professional experience in experiential graphic design (public installation, wayfinding, environmental branding, etc.) 
- The ability to teach web-based classes, software such as Adobe CC, and 3D modeling software (SketchUp, Blender, Rhino, etc.) from a human-centered perspective. 
- Thorough understanding of current and emerging interactive design theories and technologies such as augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR). 
- Experience in UI/UX (Human-Computer Interaction) design. 
- Ability to collaborate with faculty from other departments across the University. 
- Flexibility to adapt new teaching methods, and contribute towards the development of student success, design department, Watkins College of Art, and the Belmont University at large. 

Additional responsibilities include academic advising, student mentoring, scholarly activity, and college and university service. A Ph.D., M.F.A. (Graphic Design, Experiential Design, Environmental Design, Human-Computer Interaction) or progress toward a terminal degree is required; teaching experience is strongly preferred.
