Assistant Professor of Mental Health Counseling

The School of Mental Health Counseling at Belmont University is seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning August 1, 2025.  

Job responsibilities include teaching graduate courses in counseling at the master’s and doctoral levels and serving on dissertation committees. Additional responsibilities include academic advising; student mentoring; scholarly activity; serving as CACREP program liaison including assisting in accreditation activities; and program, college, and university service.  Successful applicants must hold a doctorate in counseling and hold eligibility as a core CACREP faculty member by August of 2025. Teaching, serving on dissertations, clinical experience, and CACREP accreditation experience strongly preferred.  Must hold licensure or be eligible to apply for licensure as a professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, school counselor, or pastoral therapist in Tennessee. As all Belmont undergraduates complete an innovative general education program with significant interdisciplinary components, Belmont University is particularly seeking applicants who can demonstrate the interest and ability to work collaboratively in course design and to teach interdisciplinary and topical courses in this program.
