Assistant Professor of Otorhinolaryngology- Head and Neck Surgery, Research Track
The Department of Otorhinolaryngology: Head and Neck Surgery at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure research track. Expertise is required in the specific area of oncogenic viruses and/or cancer biology. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree. Research or scholarship responsibilities may include conducting novel research projects as their main activity to support the Department of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery program on viral associated tumorigenesis. These studies will allow us to target specific domain of the viral protein required for this process and in so doing allow for the development of therapeutics in treatment of these viral mediated cancers. The incumbent will be a critical member of a team completing experiments addressing the aims of federally funded grants. The candidate must also exhibit excellent organizational, interpersonal, data management, and presentation skills. The incumbent should be able to work independently and design, troubleshoot and complete experiments in a timely manner. We seek candidates who embrace and reflect diversity in the broadest sense.
