Duties and Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in performance, including acting, scene study, and voice and movement, as well as other new and existing departmental courses, in a way that fosters connections across the discipline and the Villanova community. A successful candidate will also be expected to engage with Villanova Theatre’s production season, as a movement consultant, choreographer, and/or director, and encouraged to contribute to career advisement and curriculum development.
Candidates must demonstrate commitment to identity-conscious, culturally sensitive, and inclusive teaching and creative strategies, as well as recognition of and facility with the changing needs of the 21st-century theatre artist in an evolving professional and global landscape.We encourage applications from candidates who have had non-traditional career paths, including those who have taken time off or who have achieved excellence in careers outside academia.
