Assistant Program Director, Residential Transition - Sykesville, MD

The Segue Residential Transition Program assists with helping individuals transition out of state-run psychiatric hospitals. Segue clients are clinically stable and ready to leave the hospital. The services provided assist clients with learning how to manage their illnesses and develop independent living skills.

What to expect.

You will oversee program development, coordinate care, and supervise staff with specific focus on the day-to-day operations of the in-reach and service coordinator teams.  

Supervisory responsibilities include:

Overseeing all in-reach processes, ensuring services are authorized and compliant with guidelines. Supervising staff and ensuring effective onboarding, training, and development. Assisting in the development and management of the program budget, policies, procedures, and quality improvement systems. Maintaining compliance with licensing, accrediting, and funding standards, and implementing corrective action plans as needed.

Client-facing responsibilities include:

Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments, developing treatment plans, and implementing effective interventions for individuals with serious mental illness, including those with co-occurring disorders. Supporting clients involved in the forensic system, ensuring compliance with conditional releases, probation requirements, and collaboration with mental health courts. Developing and implementing strategies to support individuals with mental illness in transitioning successfully from long-term hospital stays to community living.

Pay for this position is determined on a number of factors, including but not limited to, years and level of related experience.

What we need from you.

Required

One of the following combinations of education and experience: A high school diploma or GED and 5 years of experience. An associates degree and 4 years of experience. A bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience. A driver’s license with 3-points or less and access to an insured vehicle during work hours. The willingness to obtain a mental health professional license or a Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner (CPRP) certification within one year of hire if not already held.
