Assistant Program Director
Overview **This position is contingent upon contract award** SOSi is seeking an Assistant Program Director to join our team in Greensboro, NC and provide overall management in support of our customer’s mission and provision of care and services. Essential Job Duties Serves as secondary on-site liaison to the HHS Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) and other governmental entities and stakeholders involved with the HHS ORR mission in Greensboro, NC. Provide support to the Program Director on program-wide oversight of all inputs, outputs and outcomes associated with program performance. Oversee daily performance ensuring program requirements are met in accordance with the contract statement of work (SOW) at the best value (Performance, Quality, Cost). Communicate directly with customer operational and program leads as required to maintain a good, effective working customer relationship. Hold operational meetings as required to discuss operations and support personnel performance to identify program deficiencies and propose potential solutions. Conduct analysis and provide reports with recommendations for all assigned work functions, activities, processes, and organizational departments. Assist with the development of systems, processes, and tools to enhance program performance. Maintain communication with program support staff setting program goals and objectives by assisting the various supporting teams to establish operational policies and procedures to enhance program operations. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Must have a bachelor’s degree in education, psychology, sociology or other relevant behavioral science. Must have at least five (5) years of progressive employment experience with a social services or childcare Agency or organization. Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, and a background check, after accepting a conditional offer of employment. Preferred Qualifications Experience and/or training in ORR operated shelters is preferred but not required. Experience working with immigrant populations and child welfare is preferred but not required. Spanish-English bilingual is preferred but not required. Work Environment Work in a fast-paced environment and remain emotionally controlled. Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Ability to work flexible hours. We operate 24/7/365. Inside and outside, all weather conditions. Travel throughout the U.S. as needed.
