Overview Project Managers lead the delivery of energy efficiency programs serving the multi-family market sector. You oversee and manage multiple projects and/or customers from project inception through Measurement & Verification and incentive payment. You support project creation, verify documents, and perform accurate and timely reviews of projects and payment of project incentives. The right candidate will be a hands-on, highly skilled manager with a combination of management and technical experience. You validate contractor/customer reports to ensure accountability and project timelines. You must be able to work within a multi-faceted environment to meet both project and program goals and objectives. Your ability to accurately assess various types of submittals ensures applications progress according to standards and specifications. Responsibilities Work with our cross-functional team to build an energy efficiency program targeted at multi-family properties. Oversee a pipeline of multi-family energy efficiency projects which may include ASHRAE II/III energy audits; retro-commissioning; energy savings calculations; MEP design, bids, construction administration, and commissioning; and measurement & verification. Perform technical review of energy efficiency project submittals from the point of application receipt to the release of the incentive payment including energy efficiency calculations, assumptions, and technical reports. Ensure projects meet technical requirements, budget requirements, and timelines; provide regular reporting on energy savings goals, customer projects, and budgets. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are managed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. outreach, marketing, QA/QC, field staff, finance, etc.), clients, and stakeholders to deliver successful outcomes. Use best practices in project management, risk assessment, and quality control. Lead initiatives to enhance the team’s efficiency, productivity, and quality of work. Prepare and deliver presentations and reports to clients and senior management. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and industry partners. Lead and conduct meetings and/or attend occasional on-site meetings and presentations. Qualifications Minimum Requirements Eligibility to work in the United States. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in construction, Engineering, Sustainability, or similar studies. 7+ years of experience in energy efficiency, sustainability, or related sectors, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role. Understanding of energy efficiency and conservation in multi-family buildings; ability to assess and understand energy use in buildings, including familiarity with measurements of electricity and fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Working knowledge and understanding of construction invoice documents, equipment specifications and operational functions required to provide sound program support. Hands-on management experience in a fast-paced consulting environment with exceptional attention to detail and client service. Strong technical writing skills and aptitude for communicating (written and oral) technical and programmatic concepts to program stakeholders. Team-oriented, hands-on, adaptive, and client-focused attitude. Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with a passion for developing talent. Exceptional project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation. Problem-solving mindset with the ability to navigate complex technical challenges. Awareness and familiarity with NJ energy efficiency landscape, related regulatory requirements, and key actors. Competitive applicants will demonstrate: CEM or CEA accreditation EIT or PE accreditation Energy efficiency program experience. Experience with the multifamily market sector. Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining customer, client, and partner relationships with a high level of satisfaction. Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors. Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company’s annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.
