We are recruiting an Assistant Project Manager to join our award winning Energy portfolio based in Cumbria team, to work closely with our clients to deliver complex infrastructure projects within the Nuclear sector. This is a unique opportunity will offer the successful applicant structured professional development, within a supportive team.

 

What you will contribute to the team:

Assist in establishing and delivering project specific objectivesProvide key support to the senior leaders in the delivery of commission obligations and internal project performanceContribute to open communications across the project delivery and client teamsEstablish effective communications across the project delivery, client and stakeholder teamsImplement problem solving and decision makingAdopt programme and business management systems across project teamsControl the internal and external commercial aspects of project across a range of contractual arrangementsMentor less experience colleagues in the skills of project managementContribute to securing opportunities and repeat business through the high quality of service delivery

 

Required for Assistant Project Manager role:

 

A degree in a construction, engineering or project management subjectWorking towards a relevant professional qualification with RICS, CIOB, RIBA, APM or engineering disciplineGood client and stakeholder relationship building skillsEffective communication with client’s project team and business managerAbility to demonstrate a flexible approach to work and determine own priorities Knowledgeable in all core project management competencies and demonstrated competence in the majority of theseCommercially awareSecurity Clearance is essential on these projects so if you do not already hold SC, we would expect a new candidate to be willing to undertake the process to acquire SC through us.Travel to site is required 3-5 days per week so you must be flexible to do so.

 

Desirable: 

Experience working within the Nuclear SectorWorking knowledge of NEC contracts
