D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for an Assistant Project Manager for their Sales/Construction Department. The right candidate will promote communication and information flow between the field construction and sales staff in a designated area and the division. Responsible for assisting with all construction field and sales related activities, which include training, motivating the staff and handling buyer issues in the designated area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Manage, train, and motivate sales agents and construction staff daily
Help recruit future Sales Representatives and construction staff
Oversee the field operation and production times and ensure quality control so that the homes are ready for homeowner orientations and occupancy
Set build times on each plan and provide schedules to meet the build times
Work with the Marketing Coordinator/Manager on advertising
Work with agents on marketing, grand openings, and new phases
Meet or beat set sales and closing goals
Develop and maintain a trade base
Interface with all municipal governing bodies, public utilities, and industry associations
Manage backlog and loan status updates with Sales Agents
Perform competitive analyses on products, features, and neighborhood amenities
Attend meetings with subcontractors to discuss problems as they arise
Assist with all field operations, plan ordering, and permitting as needed
Visit job sites periodically to spot check quality and policy enforcement
Review vendor surveys monthly and construction and customer service surveys weekly
Conduct all business in a professional and ethical manner to serve customers and increase the goodwill and profit of the company
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly managestwo or more employees in the Sales/Construction Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral form or via DRH applications
Proficiency with MS Office and email
