Assistant Project Manager - Systems Rail

Job Description:

Parsons KAFD is looking for an amazingly talented Assistant Project Manager - Systems Rail to join our team!

 

In this role, you will join a leading professional engineering, construction, and cost management team working on multiple projects in the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD).  KAFD is a master plan development positioned to become Riyadh’s new Central Business District that combines a mixture of world-class commercial offices, hotels, retail spaces, contemporary residences, and a monorail in addition to smart city solutions that redefine urban living.

 

Will be part of a team that completes a variety of technical (rail focus) assignments. Demonstrates knowledge within one or more specialties.

 

What You'll Be Doing:

Assist with the management and guidance of the project design teams in line with the project schedule.Ensuring high-quality designs are produced on time and are easy to decipher.Collaborating with other engineering discipline teams, other stakeholders, and other departments to achieve design goals, including full design interfacingWorking with Client to ensure that their expectations are met.Overseeing the design process applied to the project for all contractors and sub-contractors.Assignments typically involve design elements for which there may be no established precedents and require anticipating problems at the outset to provide appropriate solutions.Ensure that clear and accurate reporting of progress, pending, and completed deliverables is maintained.Ensure compliance with specifications, tolerances, safety factors, and client requirements.Performs interdisciplinary reviews and coordinates data to ensure a compatible design from the contractors.Understands and applies local and international commonly used rail standards, codes, and methods.Keeping up to date with changing legislation and codes of practice relating to design.Ensuring compliance with standards, codes, and local rules and regulations.Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.Ensure the design from the contractors limits financial risk during constructionMaintaining thorough documentation of the design processCreates and presents final design recommendations through the appropriate presentation media.Attending, hosting, or coordinating department and design/stakeholder/integration meetingsDelegating work where necessary and reviewing that work when it has been completed.Flexibility and dependability to work in multifaceted working environments. The ability to produce quality projects consistently.Excellent communication skills - both written and oral.Experience in a lead role is preferred.

 

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related disciplineMinimum of 6 years of related technical and work experience
