Role description:

Arcadis are excited to again be growing their Project and Programe Management team. We are looking for enthusiastic professionals to join our team to work on a range of projects with a focus on sustainability and resilience.

As part of our Programme and Project Management team, you’ll help deliver some of the biggest, most iconic projects imaginable, with some of the best talent around. With your energy, agility and a keen eye for detail, you’ll deliver transformational outcomes for multiple clients every day.

Role accountabilities:

Individually contribute to and manage small to medium scale projects or programmes of work, ensuring appropriate use of resources to deliver the required scope of work within set deadlines. Work as a project resource, completing allocated activities to meet budget, timeframe and quality objectives and meeting or exceeding client expectations Apply technical methods and expertise to complete complex, professional level tasks as requested by colleagues, prioritising case load and interpreting established policies in order to effectively support the project management function Contribute to the resolution of technical issues on projects Take a proactive role in identifying opportunities and providing advice to help improve processes and systems Understand and comply with all risk and compliance principles, taking standard corrective action or reporting any unsafe or inappropriate situations or wider project risks, to ensure the delivery of the project is not adversely impacted Liaise with stakeholders from across the business to provide specialist advisory support to internal clients, acting as a focal point for operational project queries and ensure that there is alignment between policy and operational practice Where required, collaborate with stakeholders and third party contractors to ensure all parties are informed and aware of project progress and expectations Undertake production checking, of work in progress to ensure that it meets project intent Use knowledge and experience to review project processes and policies, providing advice to support management in developing and improving processes and systems Provide support on project management queries to customers inside and outside the business, ensuring an efficient and high-quality provision of information to all internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications & Experience:

Have a BSc Eng, Diploma in Civil engineering, Project Management or equivalent in a relevant discipline Good experience building master programmes from scratch, including logic links and adding any necessary resource and cost loading Good experience monitoring project progress and how to mitigate delay. Good knowledge of how to undertake forensic delay analysis. Good experience reviewing gateway checklist and obtaining approval to proceed at each gateway Has some experience working throughout RIBA Stages of Work or similar global project life cycle guidelines  Experience in preparing Design Programme and Construction Programme Experience with preparing weekly or monthly progress reports, including s-curves and earned value analysis  Relevant business experience including management of small and medium sized projects Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to liaise with peers and senior colleagues and build and maintain relationships Building the ability to negotiate and manage relationships with external stakeholders Commercial acumen and organizational understanding A logical approach and ability to think through complex issues to co-ordinate multi-faceted aspects of projects Knowledge of own area and a general understanding of wider programme and business Knowledge of Arcadis Management System requirements to support delivery of project management projects Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and guidelines How to apply standard PM practices, techniques and procedures Excellent time management skills. Can perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule within minimal supervision Awareness of sustainable development best practice Experience in delivering analysis and insights Technical knowledge in specialized field, including construction processes and/or project management. Knowledge of own area of specialism and a developing understanding of wider organisational and programme environment Advanced proficiency with MS Office applications (e.g. MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Ideally possess proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Smartsheet, Google Data Studio etc.). Proficiency in scheduling tools (e.g. Primavera P6 and MS Project).
