Western Kentucky University (WKU) seeks a dynamic and strategic leader to serve as the Assistant Provost for Student Success and Online Education. This pivotal role provides vision, coordination, and administrative leadership to advance WKU's teaching and student success mission, driving innovation in instructional design, online education, and academic student success initiatives. As a key leader within the Office of the Provost and beyond, the Assistant Provost for Student Success and Online Education will play a critical role in shaping the future of WKU's academic and student success landscape. This is an exciting opportunity to drive institutional impact through innovative online learning, retention strategies, and student development programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Online Programs & E-Learning
+ Provide leadership and oversight for Academic Outreach units, including On Demand, Online Program Development and Compliance.
+ Collaborate with university stakeholders to expand existing online offerings and develop new programs and certificates.
+ Evaluate and enhance digital and hybrid education strategies to align with best practices in e-learning.
+ Assess market trends and institutional strengths to optimize WKU's online program portfolio and partner with WKU's Office of Communications and Marketing to refine online program marketing and recruitment strategies.
Student Success Programs & Initiatives
+ Foster partnerships across the university to achieve key student success metrics and state performance goals, and lead initiatives that promote and support academic success for all students, with a focus on first-generation, low-income, and traditionally underrepresented populations.
+ Drive the development of the Gateway Initiative, Living Learning Communities, and First-Gen Initiatives to enhance student engagement and success.
+ Develop and direct co-curricular programs that enrich learning, career readiness, and student development.
+ Elevate awareness and appreciation of WKU's general education program in collaboration with Colonnade leadership.
Job Requirements:
+ Terminal degree.
+ Minimum of two years of experience in higher education administration.
+ Demonstrated expertise in online education, student success initiatives, and academic program development.
+ Strong leadership, collaboration, and data-informed decision-making skills.
