Assistant Regional Accountant

Working closely and reporting to the Senior Accountant, the role offers a great balance of interesting and challenging work in a brilliant work environment with exposure across many business units. This candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely and accuracy in managing and supporting the Company’s financial reporting in the Regional Office as well as the APAC region. He/she will also be supporting the regional quarterly reporting to the Group Entity as well as projects in the Finance area. The ultimate goal will be to contribute to our organization’s quality accounting, financial reporting, and financial needs. Moreover, the candidate must have strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

 

Requirements: 

Support & assist in Capital Planning & Forecasts preparation Support & assist in Transfer Pricing documentation for the region Performs Balance Sheet accounts reconciliation review in the quarterly process Assist in preparing the weekly/monthly/quarterly reporting submissions to Group Entity Support and assist in the year-end financial audits and consolidation of financial statements between Regional Office and branch (shared service unit) Support and prepare the quarterly GST submission, yearly FSI HQ Tax to MAS and Income Tax submission to IRAS Assist in the quarterly intercompany balance reconciliation Assist in reviewing and maintaining the intercompany agreements between Regional Office and entities within the region, by liaising and working closely with the Legal department Assist in accounting and management of Regional Office and other related entities Support process improvement initiatives and support controllership team on Finance projects Other ad-hoc tasks Support in USGAAP to Local STAT reconciliation reviews Other ad hoc assignments in supporting the Finance team Bachelor’s degree is required, with major in Accounting and Finance. At least 2-3 years of experience in a similar role / MNC with Financial Accounting experience preferred.  Comfortable in dealing with senior stakeholders across functions. Strong sense of numbers with good analytical and problem-solving skills.  Proactive individual focused on process improvements, ability to learn, think and act innovatively. Good interpersonal skills and works well with colleagues – across functions and cultures especially throughout the APAC region Good command of the English language. Effective presentation, communication and interpersonal skills, ability to influence and negotiate with various stakeholders.  Experience with TM1, Oracle-PeopleSoft, Cognos and Alteryx will be a plus. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is a must
