Rosewood Matakauri are looking for a highly motivated, passionate leader to join the Food & Beverage team as an Assistant Restaurant Manager.
Reporting to the Restaurant & Bar Manager you will have an effective presence on the floor, ensuring that restaurant and bar services are seamlessly delivered and to train our team to meet our world-class fine dining standards.
About the role
Reporting to the Restaurant & Bar Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that all restaurant operations are run efficiently. Key responsibilities will be:
Assist in managing the daily operations and help deliver the best guest experience Lead and mentor the Restaurant team alongside the Restaurant Manager and create help shape a collaborative cultureImplement and maintain operational standards, ensuring efficiency delivery of the highest standards of service Assisting of the management of the team when required, rosters, daily briefings, recruitment and onboardingLiaise with the other departments in the hotel on a daily basis to ensure smooth operationsThe successful candidate will have
A background in fine dining and wine service is essential Previous senior level Food and Beverage experience in boutique lodges or 5 star properties Strong beverage and wine knowledge Ability to train a team of mixed skill levelsImpeccable personal groomingKnowledge and experience with Hospitality Management systems Strong and effective communication skills Ability to work accurately in a fast paced and dynamic environmentReliable, honest and engaged with excellent attention to detailThe right applicant must be self motivated, a team player and able to work well in a high pressure environment.
