Working alongside Electrical Engineers, Revit and Senior Revit Designers and the Digital Delivery Team. Helping the team Adhere to the ISO 19650 standard, the Assistant Revit Designer will assist in applying building science and technology to design and construction projects. Recognized for their specialist skills, they will work with a senior team to help manage the design process, developing technical knowledge and expertise to provide innovative solutions, with a primary focus on the delivery stage. Additionally, they will acknowledge the significance of post-construction aspects of the project.
+ Support the design team in reviewing client and user needs to help inform project briefs.
+ Understand the importance of the design stage in construction and assist with related tasks.
+ Assist with gathering information related to environmental and regulatory requirements for projects.
+ Contribute to feasibility studies and research tasks alongside the Revit Designers.
+ Help assess survey needs and support in the collection and organisation of survey data.
+ Support the development of design programmes and contribute to project briefs as directed.
+ Assist with preparing documentation for planning and statutory approvals.
+ Create and edit basic design drawings and proposals using Revit/CAD and traditional drafting methods under supervision.
+ Work within a team to support the coordination of detailed design information.
+ Assist in the research and development of design solutions and innovative ideas.
+ Learn to analyse material specifications and contribute to discussions on design performance and production.
+ Help manage and maintain project design documentation and assist with integrating production information.
+ Support compliance with relevant design and professional standards.
+ Observe and participate in project meetings, site inspections and scheduling activities.
+ Gather feedback and assist in documenting client and user debriefs.
+ Assist in collecting data for building performance reviews and maintenance planning.
+ Support the design team in exploring refurbishment and sustainable building options.
+ Participate in professional development opportunities, including structured CPD sessions.
+ Prepare and compile Revit/CAD drawings to company standards and surveyor requirements.
+ Help organise and file all BIM/CAD-related documents in line with internal protocols.
+ Issue drawings and documents as requested by project managers or senior team members.
+ Manage day-to-day tasks with support, while developing the ability to work independently in a collaborative environment.
+ Help maintain CAD/Revit libraries, including blocks, families, and standard details.
+ Assist with quality control processes and updating CAD/BIM standards as guided by the team.
+ Attend internal user group meetings and participate in discussions around tools, processes, and best practices
+ Take part in training and learning opportunities to grow technical and design skills.

**Qualifications**
+ Bachelor's Degree in drafting, technology, engineering or related field
+ HND in related field and 1 years of relevent experience OR
+ HNC in a related field and 2 years of relevent experience
+ Basic understanding of: Revit and AutoCAD
+ Excellent Office 365 such excel, word, etc skills.
+ Basic understanding of: MicroStation, BIM360, Autodesk Construction Cloud (Revit Cloud).
+ Ability to learn and effectively utilize new design software programs.
+ Understanding of how to utilize 2D and 3D applications to prepare engineering drawings.
+ Basic knowledge in design, calculations and design systems.
+ Basic knowledge in the theory and practices of assigned discipline; competent in the fundamental concepts of other disciplines as they relate to the assigned discipline; and capable of operating related discipline design software necessary to execute production tasks.
+ Work collaboratively with others including, but not limited to clients (Digital Delivery, Project Managers, Engineers and Designers) in a multi-discipline project team environment to resolve design or drawing issues as appropriate and to accomplish objectives.
+ Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
+ Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, and attention to detail.
