This position is located at the Waters Edge building in Roseville. The incumbent may have the flexibility to work in the office or a hybrid schedule. The incumbent will be required to report onsite at least once/month but may be required to work onsite more depending on business needs. If working a hybrid schedule, the incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor.
**The purpose of this position is to serve as a contact in assisting with the coordination of the Metro District's Scoping Process for projects within the MnDOT Metro District trunk highway programs. This position works across functional boundaries to identify project needs and elements in developing projects and advises functional groups in scoping activities.** **The position also assists the Cost Estimator in ensuring that all cost estimates are accurate.**

**Minimum Qualifications**
+ **Experience using the Microsoft Office Suite sufficient to write formulas for filtering data and to create, maintain and update lists, tables, logs and reports; perform word processing to create documents; data entry experience sufficient to research projects, scan, update, and verify information; and to accurately enter data into spreadsheets and other databases to generate reports.**
+ **Math skills sufficient to ensure calculation of complete and accurate cost estimate records and to balance and resolve discrepancies so both internal and external customers have appropriate data to make decisions regarding project funding needs.**
+ **Experience coordinating, facilitating, compiling, and presenting project information between multiple functional groups sufficient for Project Managers to complete project scoping packages.**
**If advanced to the finalist pool, in addition to the preceding minimum qualifications, you will be assessed on the following criteria during a job interview:**
+ **Human relations skills to provide guidance on technical processes and projects, consultation, consensus building and negotiations with multiple parties.**
+ **Customer service skills sufficient to provide prompt, courteous and accurate information to a variety of customers in person, on the phone, and through email.**
+ **Oral and written communication skills sufficient to communicate effectively with internal and external customers; prepare responses to routine inquiries; and present clear and concise explanations orally and in writing in a professional and understandable manner.**
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ **Experience using graphic workstations such as CAD, Microstation, Geopak, and other design software.**
+ **Cost-estimating practices and processes sufficient to assist in the compilation, maintenance and distribution of cost estimating information.**
+ **Knowledge of project scoping processes sufficient to assist in coordination of project scoping packages.**
