Assistant Security Manager

XVIII ABC Hub and Spoke MTCs provide individual and collective training on Army Command and Control Systems, using a variety of tools and fielded capabilities. These systems are used to support Small Unit Training: Squads through Company, Medium Unit Training: Battalion through Brigade, and Large Unit Training: Divisions and Corps in training environments for Large Scale Combat Operations (LSCO).

HOW THE ASSISTANT SECURITY MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: 

The Assistant Security Manager functions as a system administrator (IAT II Certification) position and must comply with DoD and Army training requirements in DoD 8140.01, DoD 8570.01-M, and AR 25-2.

The Assistant Security Manager is the system administrator for the Electronic Security System (ESS). This Asst. Security Manager shall assist the Security Manager administer and manage the Electronic Security System (ESS). The ESS is comprised of 2 sub-systems. The Access Control System (ACS) and the Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV).

The Assistant Security Manager shall assist the Security Manager, GDIT Security Manager, and Plans & Operations team as required in the administration of their duties to include:

Directly responsible for all matters pertaining to the physical, personnel, information, and systems security of the facility. 

Schedules, coordinates, and implements facilities projects. Prepare, execute, and manage pre-exercise setup of all facilities; prepare, execute, and manage post-exercise recovery and reset of all facilities back to their original configurations; assist in the overall management of soldier details (preparing for, supporting and recovering during exercises). 

Acts as the security POC for the contract and works in close coordination with Hub Security Officer and MTC Security Manager to ensure full contractor compliance with all DoD and Industrial Security regulations. 

Conducts security surveys, inspections, and risk analysis to determine the security posture of the facility. 

Reports all security violations verbally, and in writing, to the MTC Site Manager, Security Manager to the MTC Director.  Takes corrective actions when required and provides guidance to the government and contractor personnel to preclude a repeat of the violation.

Provides supervision and oversight of government personnel providing physical security during classified events and provides security guidance and oversight of contractor personnel when conducting internal classified operations. 

Monitors personnel security clearance status across the contract and prepares the Consolidated Security Clearance Roster for distribution to all MTC Security Officers, and to the government as requested.

Updating and writing the Security Annex to the MTC SOP and writes and insures full implementation of the MTC Physical Security SOP in accordance with AR 190-13, The Army Physical Security Program. 

Assist the Security Manager in his duties as the MTC Classified Documents Custodian.  Responsible for the proper storage and accountability of all classified documents used at the MTC.

Serves as the alternate Contract Special Security Representative (CSSR) for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) management.

The Assistant Security Manager will participate in special projects and performs additional duties as required to support customer requirements. 


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education: Technical training in Systems Administration or BA/BS degree.

Experience: 2+ Years experience in a related technical discipline or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training.

Required Experience: Entry level knowledge of relevant technology or subject matter. 

Technical Skills:

Basic knowledge of the principles, methods, and techniques used in alarm monitor procedures.

Basic knowledge of relevant technology or subject matter. 

Required Certifications:

Baseline Certification - CompTIA Security+ IAW DoD 8570.01-m required.

Computing Environment Certification IAW DoD 8570.01-m required.

Technical Category and Level: IAT-II

Security Clearance: Active SECRET required / Obtain TS/SCI

Location: Fort Liberty MTC. Normal work schedule is 0730-1600, may require night or weekend work shifts depending on specific training event requirements.


Additional:

May require occasional travel (less than 10%) 

As a condition of initial and continuing employment, obtains and maintains required certifications.

Complies with all DoD, Army, and company training requirements IAW Government policy, DoD 8570.01-M IA Workforce Improvement Program, Army Regulation, and company and site policy.
