Position Summary
Under the direction of the Slot Shift Manager and the Director of Slot Operations, this position will assist in the supervision, administration and coordination of the day-to-day slot operations. This position will run assigned shifts in the absence of the Slot Shift Manager.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Assists in the day-to-day technical and administrative operations involving the Slot Department. Develops, recommends, implements and monitors slot policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the goals and objectives of Sandia Casino. Directs, supervises, evaluates and schedules the Slot Supervisors. Recommends strategies to accomplish flawless customer service designed to expand guest attendance and increase slot profits. Assists in the development, implementation and monitoring of the Slot Department budget. Responsible for documentations to ensure the Slot Department is in compliance with specifications required by the National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) and State Compact. Assists the Director of Slot Operations in the development, implementation and monitoring of slot policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the goals and objectives of Sandia Casino. Ensures payroll is completed accurately. Assists Slot Supervisors in coordinating the work of their assigned employees and assigned areas of responsibility to assure shift continuity. Performs assigned slot department activities in accordance with policies and procedures prescribed in the Sandia Casino System of Internal Controls. Identifies staff development needs and ensures recommended training is completed. Responsible for training staff on current and new technology of slot machines. Communicates information to incoming Slot Supervisor (s). Supervises all disciplinary issues on the shift. Ensures adherence to federal cash reporting requirements. Trains slot employees. Ensures that employees’ Performance Appraisals are done in a timely manner. Punctual and regular attendance is an essential responsibility for all team members and are expected to report to work based upon the assigned schedule each day in accordance with the Attendance Policy for Pueblo Sandia.Additional Responsibilities
Provides immediate supervision to non-exempt and potentially exempt Team Members and serves in a role where reporting Team Members gain support, feedback, and guidance in their performance of all duties. Sets business parameters and delegates day-to-day tasks to achieve operational objectives. Ensures policy, procedures and practices are followed. Creates an environment of teamwork, through communicating common goals, and shows appreciation for Team Members contributions and on-going support. Supports leadership in lower-level management responsibilities and administrative duties to include mentorship, training, counseling, scheduling, etc. Attends Human Resources needs and may interview qualified candidates and recommends the selection of a qualified candidate as directed by leadership. Performs other job-related tasks and responsibilities as assigned.Key Performance Indicators
This position has Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) identified as a measurement of success. KPI’s will be shared with all team members who work in this job title and feedback will be provided regarding the successful completion of the KPI’s as part of the performance review process.

Ability to deal effectively with the general public and casino staff. Ability to write reports and maintain slot files and employee schedules. Ability to develop and implement training needs for employees and Tribal members. Knowledge of Casino operations, Tribal, federal and state reporting requirements. Knowledge of all slot and gaming equipment. Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.Education And Experience
Required
High School Diploma, GED Certification or equivalent. Two (2) years of slot operational experience at the supervisory level. Must be at least 21 years of age. Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted New Mexico Driver’s License.Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or related field.Note: Relevant work experience or education may be substituted to satisfy education and/or work experience
Licenses/Certifications/Registrations
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required STGC Gaming License Will require a pre-employment and random drug screening.Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

Working Conditions Required
Work is performed indoors. Work hours subject to change with overtime work required. Must be able to work long hours under stressful conditions. Subject to hazards which may cause personal bodily harm, smoke, common colds, influenza, dust, odors, and elevated noise levels. Tasks may be performed on uneven, inclined, hard and soft carpeted floors, cement structures and surfaces. Duties may involve walking, standing for long periods of time, sitting and crouching. Specific required movements include the following: Trunk – bend, twist, rotate, push, pull, and carry Arms – reach, carry, push, pull, lift, twist, and rotate. Legs – lift, push, pull, twist, and rotate.
