About Cadia
Our Cadia Valley Operation in New South Wales is situated about 25 kilometers from Orange and 250 kilometers west of Sydney. Cadia produces gold doré bars from a gravity circuit and gold-rich copper concentrates from a flotation circuit. The operation includes the Cadia East Mine which is globally renowned for its use of block caving, a large-scale underground mining method.
We acknowledge the Wiradjuri people, traditional custodians of the land surrounding Cadia, and proudly run an Indigenous Buddy Program to enrich the workplace experience our Indigenous employees. Who we’re looking for
Reporting to the Lead, Social Performance, the Assistant Social Performance will support the implementation of social performance initiatives by assisting with community activities, supporting in the monitoring of social impact, and documenting activities to foster positive relations and community well-being.
The assistant will enjoy on the job training, by supporting the senior team members with community activities.
Other key responsibilities include:
Support in executing and driving social performance initiativesCollate social performance recordsAssist in the execution of community activities and eventsLiaise with local partners for project alignmentAssess social impact metrics and provide findingsExecute research on social issues affecting communitiesSupport in the preparation of social performance materialsAssist social audits and compliance checksLiaise with team members on social performance improvementsFollow social performance policies and guidelines
The ideal candidate should show a clear path towards a career in Social Performance, event coordination and/or Communities, through a combination of relevant tertiary education, work experience, or experience within an associated industry.
You will also possess the following:
Experience with database systems (such as SAP and/or a stakeholder management system). Previous administration experience.Proficient in Microsoft word, PowerPoint, Excel and database management.Excellent communication skillsOpen manual drivers licence –highly regarded
Please note: This is a residential full-time role based in Orange, NSW, with flexibility available for the right candidate.
