ABOUT MBS

MBS, Unilever’s Marketing and Business Services Procurement team, is responsible for Unilever’s sourcing and supplier strategy and execution for all third party spend across Marketing, Business Services, and IT, supporting the business requirements of Brands, Divisions, Markets, and functions to drive 4G growth through strategic supplier management, cost and value management, sustainability, and innovation, aligned with Unilever’s Compass. The team manages an annual spend of ~10B Euro with a supplier base of about 40,000.

The Procurement Assistant Strategic Sourcing Manager for outsourcing will increase effectiveness of our outsourced services by creating an expertise-driven model, streamlining accountabilities, building capabilities, and leveraging knowledge, relationships, and business strategies.

Key Accountabilities:

Part of the team managing spend of appx 45 Mn across Finance & Supplier Operations globallyLead regional/global strategic sourcing projects (Rfx), lead CPM process, carry out negotiation, commercials alignment, planning and execution so as to deliver best possible commercial benefit to UnileverManage the sourcing project from PMO perspective and liaise with business stakeholders, VMO, tax, legal, finance, supplier and other internal members for on time contract alignment, query resolution, and approvals.Ensure contractual commitments are in place and signed off by stakeholders, legal and finance as appropriate.Align with finance team on commercial benefits and report it in Unilever tool.Work with business, cross functional teams and vendors for any new contract change requirements, approvals and ensure contractual compliance.Work with Strategic Sourcing Manager, Portfolio Lead, regional/global stakeholders, and supplier ops to determine preferred supplier listings and agreeing rate cards for suppliers.Proactively work with supplier and finance Ops to ensure day to day transactional work is being supported and make use of eProcurement tools to deliver increased value.Work closely with Key UniOps stakeholders and Strategic Sourcing Manager to develop and deliver market specific portfolio strategies.Identify new savings pipeline projects and a plan to meet the yearly savings and cash targets.Manage escalations, issues arising from markets and work closely with partner and internal teams to close the gap.Proactively ensure transparency and compliance with business policies for sourcing activitiesSupport any side projects or initiatives being carried out at local/global level.

Experience Required:

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, preferably in business, finance, or supply chain management. 5+ years of procurement experience (Indirect Procurement experience will be preferred)Knowledgeable in Sourcing, negotiation and contracting. Understanding of supply market, value chain, and FMCG knowledge. Knowledge of Outsourcing and other business services portfolios is a strong plus.Experience in supplier relationship managementExperience on medium-large scale project managementKnowledge of Unilever business systems is a plus i.e., Coupa, CPM, CLM, SRS, buyer’s console and Aravo, as well as Analytical tools (Excel, powerBI)
