Assistant Speech-Language Pathologist
Departmental Overview Compensation/Benefits $20.34 -$33.22 /hr depending on previous work experience. Conducts medically necessary physical therapy programs within the framework of the plan of care established by the Physical Therapist. Works closely with other hospital staff or healthcare personnel in coordination of patient care. Job Summary Job Summary Performs therapy programs utilizing standard speech therapy techniques as appropriate for the age and disability of the patient. Performs responsibilities as an integral team member of a SLP/SLPA collaboration focused on patient-centered decision making. Documents delivery of speech therapy services Educates patients, family members, significant others, and staff members. Directs and supervises activities of support personnel. Promotes physical rehabilitation services through community/system based education activities, marketing opportunities, and/or support groups. Qualifications Education Requires associates degree from an SLPA program Licensure/Certification/Registration/Professional Designation/ECT Licensed as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant or a Graduate SLPA eligible for Oklahoma Licensure/Temporary License. RQI training or re-training is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Current RQI is required to be maintained through re-training for the duration of employment.
