Assistant Stylist

This person should be a highly organized individual with a self-starter attitude. A multi-functional position between editorial and e-comm assisting. You will be immersed in both areas and seamlessly shift between the two, to gain an understanding of how the J.Crew Factory Styling department operates.

The Role + Purpose:  

Create and manage monthly and seasonal shotlists to ensure accuracy. Maintain specific daily e-comm shot counts regardless of additions, drops or changes to the shotlist. Prep clothing for shoots by locating appropriate sizes based on model measurements, laundering clothing and sending product out of house and/or setting up the in-house photo studio. Assist on set during on-figure photoshoots, including fittings and garment preparation. Document all styled looks prior to shoots so styled looks contain style number and color code and edit doc post-shoot to update any on set changes.Schedule pre-style walkthroughs, post-style styling reviews and final walkthroughs with merchants, stylists and company directors. Obtain fit notes from merchants prior to photo shoots to ensure garments fit true to design during pre-shoot fittings. Attend all walkthroughs to provide support and notate any changes to styled looks and/or product availability. Create digital folders for the digital tech for image archival during all on figure photo shoots. Oversee and manage freelance assistants to ensure maximized productivity. Pull images and provide image paths for merchants and web team members. Keep styling cage organized and clean at all times. Submit monthly expenses for any corporate expenses. Maintain and order kit supplies.

Qualifications: 

Prior on-set experience necessaryBS/BA degree or equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform essential functions of the job Highly organized Detail oriented and able to multitask within a team setting Proactive self-starter Strong sense of urgency Ability to work with and communicate with cross functional business partners.

Hourly Range: $22.98 - $26.44
