Assistant Superintendent

Johnson Service Group (JSG) is currently looking for an Assistant Superintendent who is experienced in construction. This is a direct-hire opportunity with an integrated Construction, Design and Technology solutions firm located in Moravia NY.
Pay: $35/hour to $45/hour
Responsibilities Inspect construction work to ensure compliance with building standards and project specifications Inspect all material upon arrival to the jobsite to ensure compliance Document inspections and report any issues Coordinate scheduling of subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, and vendors to complete each project on time Monitor work and materials to ensure quality control standards are met at various stages of the project Communicate with the project team and support each subcontractor to execute his job duties effectively and efficiently Perform inspections or schedule inspectors to meet the varying safety and compliance regulations of each job location Maintain a written daily log of visitors, job actions performed, materials expended, and problems resolved on the job site Travel between multiple job sites and simultaneously manage work loads of individual projects Identify and resolve problems and conflicts, organizing meetings and cooperating with team members in various roles as necessary
Qualifications OSHA 30 Willingness to work inside minimum and maximum security prisons Minimum three (3) years of trade experience or comparable training in inspection of large-scale building project valued above $1 million Willingness to respond to calls off normal hours and occasionally work extra hours to meet project needs Must be able to work autonomously, follow procedures, and interpret contract documents Ability to understand and interpret contract documents including specifications and drawings Experienced in new building construction, major renovations, civil work and the installation and commissioning of Electrical Strong communications written and oral skills and a collaborative approach working with both client and construction contractor/subcontractors Ability to maintain field and office records and perform quantity computations
